Buying and Selling Facebook Pages: FAQ

Everything sellers and buyers ask us about Facebook pages and groups, answered plainly. For a valuation on a specific page, the valuation form is faster than reading all of this.

Can I sell my Facebook page and keep my personal profile?

Yes. Selling a page means transferring ownership to a new admin and then removing yourself. Your personal profile, your friends and any other pages you run are untouched. Facebook changes its layout often, so rather than follow an outdated tutorial, ask us and we will walk you through the current steps.

Why does FanPageCash buy these pages?

We promote our own websites and services on them. We do not spam the audience. We build content that matches the page topic, so followers see more of what they already came for. When a page does not suit anything of ours, we usually resell it to another marketing firm.

Does Facebook allow pages to be sold?

In limited circumstances and with written permission, yes. Facebook’s terms otherwise restrict it, and most transactions in this market happen without that permission. That is a genuine risk and you should weigh it before trading. If you want to do it strictly by the book, contact Facebook directly first.

What is my Facebook page worth?

No fixed price list exists, because two pages with identical follower counts can be worth ten times different amounts. Audience country does most of the work, followed by niche, genuine reach, page age and standing. Most pages sell for between a hundred and a few thousand US dollars.

Someone offered me far more in my inbox. Is it real?

Usually not. Unsolicited offers well above market rate are the standard opening move in page theft. The pattern is a thin profile, pressure to act quickly, and a request for admin access before money changes hands. Never grant access before payment or an escrow arrangement is in place.

Do you buy groups as well as pages?

Yes. Active groups with a real, well located membership are often easier to sell than pages, because reach inside a group has held up better.

Can I stay on as an editor after selling?

Sometimes. Buyers occasionally keep the original admin on, since nobody knows the audience better. It is the new owner’s call, so we can ask but not promise. Mention it in your enquiry and we will raise it.

What does my page need to qualify?

Roughly 100,000 followers, a decent share of them in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or Western Europe, and no publishing restrictions. The full seller checklist has the detail.
